Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The SHEKEL KLAN online store at https://shekel-klan.com is operated by Steven Epstein (סטיבן אפשטיין), an Israeli sole proprietor registered as an osek patur (עוסק פטור), business registration number 342822236, at Ha-ra'aba 6, Tel Aviv Yaffo, Israel (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We are responsible for the personal information we collect and the purposes for which we use it, including as the database controller under applicable Israeli privacy law.

Privacy enquiries: support@shekel-klan.com. Phone: +972559497323.

This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse our store, place an order, contact us, or join our SMS waitlist. It applies alongside our Terms and Conditions and does not limit your rights under applicable law.

2. Information we collect and its sources

We receive information directly from you, through your browser, and from the providers involved in your orders and communications:

  • Orders: your name, email, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, selected products and sizes, order history, payment status, and information needed for deliveries, cancellations, returns, and refunds.
  • Enquiries: contact details and the content of your correspondence. Our partnership form requests your name, email, and message; company details and a website or Instagram link are optional.
  • SMS waitlist: the phone number and country code you submit, together with subscription information held by our messaging provider.
  • Technical information: information needed to deliver and protect the website and checkout, such as IP address, browser and device information, request and error information, and cart and session data stored through cookies and similar technologies.

Providing personal information to us is generally voluntary. If a legal requirement to provide particular information applies, we or the relevant provider will explain it when requesting that information. Without details needed for an order, enquiry, or subscription, we may be unable to complete that request. Fields marked as required are needed for the relevant service. Marketing subscriptions are optional.

3. How we use information

We use the information relevant to each activity to:

  • process and deliver orders, confirm payments, issue transaction documents, and handle returns and refunds;
  • answer enquiries and manage customer service and partnership discussions;
  • maintain the store, preserve your cart, resolve technical problems, and protect against fraud and misuse;
  • send drop announcements and promotional SMS when you subscribe;
  • meet applicable accounting and other legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.

We seek consent where required by law. We do not treat browsing the store, making a purchase, or sending an enquiry as consent to promotional SMS.

4. Who receives information and why

We share the information needed for the following purposes with:

  • Shopify: to host and operate our commerce services, create carts, provide checkout, and manage orders. Shopify also processes certain information for its own purposes under its Consumer Privacy Policy.
  • Allpay and the payment providers involved, when enabled for checkout: to prepare payment requests, facilitate payments, authenticate transactions, prevent fraud, manage disputes, and process refunds.
  • Brevo and its message delivery providers: to maintain the SMS subscriber list and deliver messages to subscribers.
  • Hosting, technical support, contact form delivery, and email providers: to operate the store and receive and answer enquiries, including Google for correspondence handled through our Gmail mailbox.
  • Delivery and fulfilment providers selected according to the delivery destination: to arrange shipment and delivery, using relevant recipient and order details.
  • Morning: to prepare and deliver receipts and other transaction documents, using relevant customer and transaction details. Transaction data may be passed to Morning through Allpay when that integration is enabled.
  • Accounting and professional advisers: where needed for accounting, legal obligations, or professional advice.

We may also disclose relevant information where required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or where necessary to establish or defend legal rights. If ownership of the business changes, information may be transferred as part of that change, subject to applicable law and appropriate protection.

Some providers process information on our behalf; others also have their own legal responsibilities and privacy notices.

5. Payment information

Checkout is provided through Shopify and the payment methods made available there. When Allpay is enabled for checkout, it facilitates the connection with the relevant payment service providers. Depending on the integration settings, checkout information may be sent to Allpay before payment is completed, including if you do not complete the purchase. A payment provider may also request identification information, such as an Israeli ID number, where the payment form requires it.

Card details are entered through the payment service’s payment interfaces.

We do not store full payment card numbers or card security codes (CVV) on our own storefront servers. We and the services involved may receive transaction references, payment status, amounts, and limited payment information needed for reconciliation, support, fraud prevention, and refunds. Do not include full card details or CVV in contact forms or messages to us.

For Allpay’s own processing, see its Privacy Policy.

6. SMS and marketing choices

Joining the SMS waitlist is optional and is not a condition of purchase. If you subscribe, we use your number to send early access announcements, product drop updates, and promotional messages from SHEKEL KLAN through Brevo.

You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time using the unsubscribe method provided in the message or by contacting support@shekel-klan.com. We may retain the minimum information needed to record and respect your opt-out and meet legal obligations. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary communications about an order or a request you made.

7. Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies and similar browser technologies to remember your shopping cart and interface choices, such as whether you have seen the welcome screen or dismissed the SMS signup popup.

Interface data is kept for the browser tab session. Cart cookies are kept for up to 30 days, renewed when the cart is saved. Cart information in local storage remains until cleared, replaced, or the cart is emptied.

Shopify and payment services may use additional cookies or similar technologies within their services, for example for checkout, security, and fraud prevention. You can clear or restrict cookies and browser storage through your browser settings; doing so can affect cart persistence and checkout.

8. Processing outside Israel

Our providers, including Shopify and Brevo, may store or process personal information outside Israel or your country of residence. Privacy laws in other countries may differ. These transfers are subject to applicable law, including the Israeli regulations on transferring information to databases outside Israel and the safeguards required for the particular transfer. Contact support@shekel-klan.com for information about relevant destinations and safeguards.

9. Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described here and applicable legal requirements. Order and transaction records may need to be kept for accounting, tax, dispute, and legal purposes after an order is completed. Enquiries are retained as needed to handle the matter and related obligations. Subscription information is retained while needed for the subscription, with limited records retained where needed to honour opt-outs or legal requirements. We delete or anonymise information once it is no longer needed for these purposes, unless the law requires us to retain it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information and restrict access according to the needs of the work involved. No internet transmission or storage system can guarantee complete security.

10. Your rights

Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981, as amended, you have a right, subject to the law’s conditions and exceptions, to access personal information about you held in a database. If it is incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or outdated, you may request its correction or deletion in accordance with the law. Where the Law’s direct marketing provisions apply, you may also request in writing that information used for that direct marketing be deleted as provided by law.

To make a request, contact support@shekel-klan.com. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We will respond within the time limits required by applicable law. A request does not necessarily require the deletion of records that must be retained by law. You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or another competent authority.

Depending on the laws applicable to you and the processing concerned, you may have additional rights, including deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. We will handle requests in accordance with the law that applies.

11. External links

Our store links to services such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. When you follow a link, the external service’s own privacy terms apply to its processing. Review those terms before providing information to that service.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our operations, providers, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy here and give further notice or obtain consent where required by law.

For questions or requests about personal information, contact Steven Epstein at support@shekel-klan.com, +972559497323, or Ha-ra'aba 6, Tel Aviv Yaffo, Israel.
